So. Is the deal good? Yes. Citi Travel wants your booking.

Book $300 worth of hotel. Save $50. Easy enough. But the real trick isn’t just the $50.
It’s the stacking.
If you hold the Citi Strata Elite, you can tack that onto the annual $300 hotel credit. Same with the Premier, which gives you $100 off stays over $500. The rules are tight. The dates matter. But when it lines up? You walk away with significantly less bill.
People worry about third-party bookings. No status points. No elite nights guaranteed. True. But I’ve beaten direct rates doing it. Once at Marriott. They let me add my number later anyway. Got into the lounge.
Worth it. Or not?
Maybe Citi’s rates are lower right now. Check both.
