Clothes wrinkle. It happens. Always has. If you care about how you look, packing takes actual effort.

Take the long hauls. Change. Right after takeoff. Get into your PJs. Hang the stuff you’re going to wear later. Let gravity do its thing while you sleep in the hotel. Overnight is free ironing time.

Pack right. The shoulder tuck inside a jacket is magic for structure. Use that plastic bag from the dry cleaners to wrap delicate layers. Keeps them safe. Downey spray helps too, if you have room.

Shower trick? It works. Turn on the heat. Close the door. Let the steam rise. Eco-purists might gag. Who cares if your shirt looks good?

One rule. Don’t fix wrinkles on your body. Labels warn you not to. Lawyers exist. Tort law runs wild now. They’d rather sue you for burning yourself with a hot plate while wearing the fabric. It makes zero sense. Like warning that eggs might contain eggs.

Someone actually did this. Then they sued. Then every label became a legal shield.

Lighters say “flame causes fire.” Drills warn against dental use. What is wrong with us?

There is a machine now. Dries and irons in one go. Practical? Maybe. I think hotels should buy these. Hyatt claims they care about people. Let them execute it. Make travelers loyal by making them ready. Why haul the gear when the room handles it?

One risk though. Privacy? Security?

Then again. A US Senator used to iron his shirts while standing in them. A former Governor did the same.

What hope do we really have? 🧥
